What does sustainable swimwear mean?

What does sustainable swimwear mean?

Sustainability is one of the most important movements in our culture today.

Eco-friendly, ethical & socially responsible.

But what does this mean?

For example....When you see our swimwear, Sahara Boa brown delux bikini you would think it’s snake skin fabric, right?

We are sorry to confirm, but You are so wrong!

Eco-friendly doesn’t mean less in quality and less beautiful.

It means actually that during process of fabric, we use reduced, minimal or no harm upon ecosystems or the environment.  Being environmentally friendly means having a lifestyle that are better for the environment.  It’s all about taking small steps towards mother earth so as to make this planet a better place for our communities and generations to come.

When you go out for shopping try to buy products from market that are made up of recycled materials.

Because of this ability, allied to design and creating our own unique prints, we use fabric that is 100% recycled (from recycled bottles & fishing nets) and looks like real snake (award winner, certified)!

We use Italian Lycra fabric, what is made from recycled products, especially from plastic waste and discarded fishing nets found in the Ocean.  All dyes and colours used are environmentally friendly too and disposed properly.

You’ll quickly find that you aren’t simply investing in your clothes/bikini but also investing in the environment you live in!

We @ Ocean Couture are committed to sustainable and ethical manufacturing.
